Many establishments offer dinners with a festive menu and shows. This is often the case with casinos. Dinner cruises are also offered.

EATING… IN A GONDOLA!

From November 3, 2022, to January 1, 2023, the restaurant La Maison Bleue, located by the sea in Courseulles-Sur-Mer more precisely, goes into winter mode! 2 gondolas, which can accommodate up to 4 people each, are installed on the terrace. In addition to the usual menu, expect a few culinary surprises. So come and spend an unusual New Year’s Eve on the 31st (noon or evening) and January 1 ( noon or evening) with family or friends.

EQUESTRIAN CABARET ATMOSPHERE

Rhinestones, sequins, and horses await you in Evreux at the Manège de Tilly on December 31 for New Year’s Eve. The guaranteed atmosphere with dinner, horse show, and music “until the rooster crows”!

A CRAZY 31 IN THE BIGGEST CABARET IN NORMANDY

If you like crazy atmospheres and have nothing against fantasy, this original New Year’s Eve idea will probably speak to you. The biggest cabaret in Normandy, La Sirène à Barbe, located in Dieppe, is pulling out all the stops for you on the 31st. The whole troupe, led by Diva Beluga, awaits you for an extravagant show! As an appetizer, a cold buffet will be offered.

SLEEP ON MONT-SAINT-MICHEL

A breathtaking spectacle, that of nature magnified by man’s hand, to start the new year in style in one of the most beautiful bays in the world. Not far from there: Granville, the “Monaco of the North,” our very own Rock.

In Mont, we suggest On Mont, we recommend Auberge Saint-Pierre, with its elegant and warm interior. It’s true that, as you imagine, this hotel comes with some costs. But it’s worth it if your hotel has a view of the bay. To reach it, you’ll need to walk up some steps. But the breathtaking view from the beach is well worth the effort!

THE BATH… ON JANUARY 1ST!

In Dieppe, Etretat, Fécamp, Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, or Deauville, tradition dictates that the year begins with a refreshing bath…! So, every year, reckless bathers meet for the first swim of the year in winter water of around 7°. Some show up wearing a simple swimsuit, others in a wetsuit. The disguise is out for the most eccentric.

Others are just dipping their toes in the water, a glass of champagne in their hands. Come and encourage them or take the plunge! Before setting off, don’t forget to warm up sufficiently to avoid thermal shock. The locals will be of good advice.

IN DEAUVILLE, THE WARM-UP IS DONE TO MUSIC

In Deauville, the warm-up is generally done with music 15 minutes before the starting signal. Also, in Deauville, hot drinks and delicacies are offered to swimmers (upon registration). A good-natured atmosphere guaranteed!

In Cabourg, the last bath of the year takes place the day before, on December 31. Meet in front of the Grand Hotel. All in Belle Epoque bathing suits and music, with the presence of a brass band! Book your bathing suit with the association if you want to jump into the water. Drinks and madeleines (a nod to Proust) are offered to participants.

For more information, contact the Tourist Offices of the cities where the event takes place (Dieppe, Etretat, Fécamp, Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer (76), Cabourg, Deauville, Agon-Coutainville, etc.).
